It must be about a 20m drop and it's not for the faint-hearted. It can also kill you! As the air temperature is so hot (around 32 degrees today), and the water temperature so cold (around 11 degrees), when you jump you can suffer a heart attack as a result of the shock to your body.
Jumpers will therefore put a 'fake' at the jump spot, to create interest while somebody else will go round collecting money from the tourists - so you can effectively pay to watch the show.
Meanwhile, the actual jumper is hosing himself down with freezing cold water, to prepare his body for the temperature change.
For me, the jumper summed up everything about Mostar: a little bit scary, a bit of a shock to the system, not for everyone, and glad when it was all over!
