Tuesday 13th July: Soleta the ghekko

While the neighbours are away, a ghekko we must feed. But what do you do when the bugger just won't eat? She's getting on a bit now, and hasn't eaten since our neighbours left on Saturday.
So we watched a clip on YouTube (love that you can find everything you need on YouTube!) and watched as they prised the jaw open. So we tried it ourselves tonight and it wasn't easy. I then had to chop a wax worm up (in front of his friends I hasten to add - I'm a bad bad person) so that she could eat it a bit more easily, but instead managed to get it in her mouth and trapped at the back so she can't even swallow it now!
I'm convinced we're going to go there tomorrow and try again and the poor thing will have given up. We've only got her on 'our watch' until tomorrow night, though, so please please don't let anything happen to her!
Monday 12th July: AW10 trends
I know for most people that the summer has only just begun, and I know that looking ahead to Autumn/Winter 2010 seems crazy, but you just can't help it when you take a look at some of the key pieces that are coming later this year.
Celine is on everyone's lips at the moment, and you can see why with my picture here from the AW10 collection (pic courtesy of style.com). Leather is going to be big this year (it's always on trend though, right?), and I'm looking forward to how the cape is going to be interpreted - you never know, Batman could make a come back. At least he'll be doing it in style ...
Saturday 10th July: The (very) long man
Check out what he should look like
I think he would actually thank the people who did it to him, keep up the (cock-a) doodles I say.

Friday 9th July: Eclipse
I know you're supposed to be a bit cool in these matters, especially when you're talking about a teenpic, but I just HAD to go and watch the third Twilight instalment: Eclipse.
Unlike New Moon when Edward disappeared, he was in the whole movie this time, and it was all the better for it.
I think I will always remember the gasps from the ladies in the audience when Edward asked Bella to marry him (again) ... mmmmmm.
Edward camp all the way for me!

Wednesday 7th July: In the Bupa waiting room
Went to Brighton today to have a full health assessment at a Bupa clinic. I've been prodded, poked and had a load of tests, and it's really nervewracking!
Here's a picture of the waiting room, what you can't see here is the fridge with refreshments and granola bars, I guess it was too much to expect chocolate bars and crisps in a health centre!
Tuesday 6th July: On the brand new tube
It's hard to tell from this picture, but this is a brand new tube with no dirt and grime anywhere. How long before some gits put chewing gum everywhere?

Monday 5th July: Our lillies!
After chopping these lillies back last year we thought they were gone - but this year they're twice as tall and the flowers are as pretty as before. This flower's not for killing!
Saturday 3rd July: 80s revival!

Tony Hadley was the star of the night for me (and that says a lot when I used to have a huge crush on Ricky boy). He managed to pull off singing The Killers, Donna Summer and, of course, Gold!

Thursday 1st July: Refugees in Chad
Ok, I'm cheating a bit here by posting photo from yesterday's Care display on the Southbank.
This picture of refugees in Chad was my favourite and it would have been a shame not to post it.
Among all the dust and the gloom, there is so much colour and positivity. This would have been a totally different picture if they were all wearing black.
Desperation, but hope at the same time.
Wednesday 30th June: Care UK's display on the Southbank
I joined the man down on the Southbank to see Care UK's display outside the Tate Modern. The charity sign up dude even managed to get me to give £8 a month to the charity! Wonderful photographs and definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
Monday 28th June: It's sale time!
I couldn't go through these next few weeks without giving some reference to the summer sales. There's a plethora of red signage everywhere, which is why I liked Kookai's understated 'Sale' sign, how refreshing.
Sunday 27th June: England go out
I actually took this picture from the TV when it wasn't so dire, at 1-0. The end result was 4-1 (should have been 4-2 ref). I think we need to lower our expectations of our national team next time, why did we ever think they were any good?
