Thursday 28th October: Angry Birds - Halloween

Having completed Angry Birds on the iPhone, a lot of fans are now hooked on the Halloween version - still awesome.

Wednesday 27th October: Bloomin' special

The man did good tonight. For no reason at all - she says, hoping he's not feeling guilty for anything ;) - Mark bought me some flowers.

He's yet to tell me what he's done ...

Tuesday 26th October: Pink sunrise

Despite running late for work, I just had to take a picture of the morning sunrise today. The picture doesn't do it justice. It was literally like someone had washed a bright pink scarf in the sky and the dye was running everywhere. Beautiful.

Monday 25th October: Steam lorry sees the light!

Paul's steam lorry was wheeled out of the garage for the first time ever for the big photo shoot ...

Still bits to do, like adding the canopy and the back end wood, but the mechanical belly of it is all there.

Had a bit of a lump in my throat when I had the pictures come through; I'm very proud of him.

Sunday 24th October: It's magic!

Lunch around Chris and Amanda's and we had a treat in store! Chris used to be a magician when he was a student, so he was using us to brush up on his art.

The best one by far was him managing to put a card we'd chosen, into an orange, which we then cut open to remove the very same card.

It was simply 'magical' (boom boom).

Bet Harry Potter couldn't do that.

Tuesday 19th October: Reader envy

Every time I look at someone reading a book on the train I get reader envy! Serves only to make me resent my work if I can't even spare five minutes reading a book each day.

Monday 18th October: Concert for CARE

Tonight we went to the Royal Albert Hall (my first time!) for Concert for CARE, another David Arnold event but this time around classical music, namely movie scores, performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (another first for me).

We were joined by the likes of Matt Lucas, Paloma Faith, Jimmy, Carr, Ed Byrne and, performing one of my favourite pieces of music, The Piano, was Michael Nyman. I tried to insert the video of him playing it on the piano but it was too big to load :(

Fab night and one I'll remember for a long time (and for a great cause too).

Sunday 17th October: The snowman's revenge

After several weeks of the 'Mole campaign', which we began last month in revenge for 'The Snowman', we decided it was time to come clean.

So two molehills later and some 'goodbye-from-the-moles' flags, we await out neighbours' return ... just hoping they see the funny side and don't make a 'mountain out of a molehill'. Ha!

Saturday 16th October: Reading room

So this picture wasn't strictly taken today, but I have been thinking of this reading room from the shoot yesterday.

Our top floor of the house is supposed to look like this, but, as usual, we have too much "clutter crap" to make such a relaxing and inviting setting.

Friday 15th October: Christmas video shoot

It's far too early for Christmas, but when you're shooting the Christmas video and setting up the room in the picture, it's hard not to get a little bit excited. No?

Thursday 14th October: Kids' video shoot

Our Christmas kidswear and casualwear shoot near Shoreditch - the kids were sooo cute. One was the spitting image of Suri Cruise, gorgeous.

Wednesday 13th October: Random tube pic

It was Wednesday evening, late, I didn't have a picture of the day, so I took a photo of random people on the tube on the way home. I could have taken another picture of my dinner, but there are far too many of those 'cop out' piccies on here already ...

Tuesday 12th October: Peterborough team meeting

Not really much to say about today other than the management team had an 'away day' in our warehouse in Peterborough, but instead of taking a picture of the Debenhams warehouse, I took one of the Amazon one next door. No clue why. They all look the same anyway.

Monday 11th October: My CAF flower

I was handed three sunflower seeds about three months ago when the man came back from a charity event.

The result ... three "mini" sunflowers!

Now i just have to enter the picture into a competition for the chance to win £100 ( for mt cause, of course).

Forget to take a picture of the actual Jokers' gala tonight so had to take this picture of our swimming hat! Ten months into this blog and I still forget the most important thing - taking pictures! Argghh!

After several weeks of late nights and weekends, Debenhams TV has arrived! Lots to be done still, but it's a good start.

Wednesday 6th October: A London sunset

I'd reached 6pm and didn't have a picture, so it was by chance that when I walked to the tube there was a gorgeous pink sky (which doesn't show up very well in this picture!), but also shows how dark it's getting - boohoo winter is nearly upon us.

Tuesday 5th October: My Aldo boots ... finally!

After seeing these boots in the press advertising about six weeks, they finally hit down in stores this week! I still don't understand why retailers feature products in their advertising before it's even reach stores! What a waste.

Thankfully for Aldo, there weren't any alternatives that I liked anywhere else, otherwise I would have been long gone.

Monday 4th October: Bad hair day ...

... but for once it's not me! Poor Sarah got the moisture in her hair after getting a fringe cut. Bless her, she's now had her hair permanently straightened! Looking good Sarah love.

Up at the crack of dawn (well, 7am, but it is a Saturday morning!) to do the Walk for CARE - a 25km walk raising money and awareness for CARE UK. To say that we did the walk though is a lie, we did a couple of kms only as Mark's done his back in. But we were supporting the others really well!

Friday 1st October: The Haynes Chicken Manual

After dinner up in London, we headed to Waterstones on the way home and found this book - it definitely deserves a place in this blog, I love it!
