Friday 25th June: Orla Kiely competition prize!
At first I thought it was a scam, or perhaps a virus, but Orla Kiely confirmed it was indeed for real - and here is my prize! Worth around £625!
Thanks Orla Kiely!
Thursday 24th June: The iPhone4 is released
Check out the queue outside one of the O2 stores in Oxford Street today as the iPhone4 is launched. I'm due an upgrade but I don't think I'll be getting my hands on one anytime soon ...
Wednesday 23rd June: England make it through!
England make it through the next round of the World Cup with a 1-0 win over Slovenia! We missed out on winning the group when the USA (yes, the USA!) got a late goal against Algeria.
Which means we now face Germany ... great!
Tuesday 22nd June: Jared's leaving drinks
My team member Jared Bertram had his last day today and will head back to Australia in July. Was great knowing you Jared - maybe I'll see you again one day ...
Monday 21st June: Anne of Green Gables
Felt under the weather today so gave swimming a miss and put on my Anne of Green Gables video! It always worked when I was younger and sure enough, I got a warm glow watching it again and began to feel a bit better!
Sunday 20th June: Painshill Park, again
I'm afraid not much of photographic worthiness took place today so I decided to add another picture from our walk round Painshill yesterday, just because I liked it. And before you ask, yes it does count as a picture a day ...
Friday 18th June: A dismal World Cup performance
As England took on Algeria in the second of the group matches, it should have been an easy win. But after their draw against the USA it seems the team was in low spirits, and it showed on the pitch.
Such a frustrating game lacking any guts - we left early to get some Thai, and it was a lot more enjoyable than the game.
Thursday 17th June: B by Ted Baker
Monday 14th June: Outrage at the pool
So not only did I have a shit day at work today, I get to the pool for a good training session to release all the anger and find we didn't have a coach, again, didn't have a session and we only got an hour's pool time.
Very frrr-ussss-traaaa-ted!

Sunday 13th June: More crap from Ikea
Well here's mine, and it is, as I said, all crap that I could have lived without ...
Saturday 12th June: Paul and his paramedic
Friday 11th June: Another elephant - sorry!
I know I know, I've already posted an elephant, but this one has more significance as I hid behind it on New Bond Street and looked a right sight.
Mark and I were playing our usual stupid game when whoever spots the other one first is the winner (the other really embarrassing time we did this was in Ikea - which I won).
I won this one too, hence the hiding behind the elephant.
I don't care what I look like, it's the winning that counts!
Thursday 10th June: Anxious wait
I think I've used this photo before, but I had to use a picture of my Mum today as she had her annual check up at the hospital. Every year it's always an anxious wait for the text message (which means everything's ok) or a phone call (which I had after her one of her check ups that wasn't good news).
Thank goodness I get a text message today.
Thank you to whomever it may concern ...
Wednesday 9th June: My lookalike ... apparently
Tuesday 8th June: Eclipse ... the soundtrack!

Monday 7th June: Angry dog
This picture is from an online library, not actually taken from my camera (thank goodness!), but it best demonstrates the type of dream (or rather nightmare) that I had last night.
The frightening thing is my night's sleep was very work-related, so not sure how fending off an aggressive dog has to do with it. Either way, having work associated with a such a firghtening experience can't be a good thing!
Sunday 6th June: From a caterpiller to a butterfly
Our 13-year-old neighbour brought over his 'Butterfly garden' today and I was amazed. I didn't think these things existed - there certainly wasn't anything like this in my science class, we just had Bunsen burners.
You can order these gardens online and also get sent the five caterpillars that you look after until they turn into a butterfly! You can also order refill caterpillars sets when you are ready to start again! Incredible!
And I got to see a Painted Lady up close - beautiful.
How things have moved on (and how old do I sound?!).

Friday 4th June: The Ivy
You hear about it and read about it in the press, but I never actually knew where it was.
Just shame I didn't have a reservation there ...
Thursday 3rd June: Free Reiss bag

Wednesday 2nd June: How hard is it to find shoes?
So I finally found some flat pumps after looking everywhere, and that's coming from someone who works on Oxford Street!
And they're not even particularly me - check out those girlie bows!
But they're cheap and they'll do.
I just didn't expect it to be so hard to find some black pumps. I've settled for a pair of navy and a pair of white ones. I'll just have to overlook the bows.

Tuesday 1st June: Waking up to a dawg
Now this I could cope with every morning! How to put a smile on your face despite having to go to get up, get ready, face a long commute, and get to work.
Instead I left the house with a smile on my face (and some dog slobber on my right leg, which I was hoping no one would notice) and was ready for the world. Dogs are a natural stress-reliever and I want one of my own please ... woof!
Monday 31st May: A new BBQ toy
Finally got round to buying a BBQ today and tried it out on my folks for the first time. Given that him indoors was quite shit at lighting it, I had to step in, as every woman does, and take over.
And it was delicious - although I think hunger got the better of me and I added and pork steaks before the coals turned grey - chargrilled pork steaks aren't bad though!
Sunday 30th May: Gardening with the folks
Parents are just wonderful aren't they? Mine came for a weekend away and ended up bringing a load of plants and turned our little cramped garden into a little piece of Kew Gardens (if I do say so myself!).
